The other day in the car my good friend Jamison Walker pulled out one of his Great Tenor CDs and played Siegfried Jerusalem singing "In Fernem Land" from Wagner's Lohengrinn. I have seen DVDs of him singing smaller roles in Wagner Operas, but had never really heard him sing. I was completely blown away, and have been seeking out every bit of him singing that I can find. He has everything that I wish more Wagner singers had. There is so much vibrancy in his sound, and it is so consistent! It is possible to sing beautifully legato and still have power.
